History of Trina's Kids *
Trina's
Kids are handmade with love and care by their creator Petrina
Burnham. Seeing the need for more dolls of color, Trina began
making Trina's Kids in 1993. Designed to make you smile, these
soft, cuddly, and unique cloth dolls wear cheerful expressions
and colorful clothing. Each is approximately 11" tall.
Trina's
Kids have been sold in numerous gift shops around the United States
and Bermuda. In 1999, they were featured in the exhibit "Wrapped
in Pride - Ghanaian Kente and African American Identity which
was funded in part by the National Endowment for the Humanities
and the National Endowment For the Arts. That exhibit traveled
to several cities including Los Angeles, Detroit, and Washington,
D.C.
